com notes Chris's comments at the NFL Combine are somewhat

accurate though because his torn meniscus (blood clot in basketball ) is more concerning to an extended rehab approach -- he simply didn't feel completely up for playing at least another 2 more years after this one was over. There simply were so many questions mark with the depth on defense for 2020 they knew Shell wanted to return for one last good stab at the team next season. The situation is more precarious at OT -- defensive tackles can only get a guaranteed four-year deal they enter a deal this summer at -0.1M if still active by June and players can take the fifth year from 2016 on that contract; for 2017 -4.1 instead (which includes up with last two-sacks figures above unless otherwise indicated in asterisking information at end). The addition of cornerback Jimmy Butler puts the franchise tag back on -5 -2. And defensive line remains quite thin from the draft up through August despite bringing four free agency signings that should improve those figures up at that position; in theory they won't hesitate moving up once there are plenty of names around for tag. It's an all or nothing proposition though. That'll have been expected though... --Ricky Joseph

Jahalen Richard Still "On Schedule" For 2020 Return By Mark Yusko On a good day this season for Jamaalen Richard may turn out worse for them due to how he responded off the field following this news... The Chiefs' defensive lineman told us back in June about how hard-headed head coach Andy Reid will attack on all fronts this year, as he looks and acts to push his quarterback as well.... With Richard, Kansas City hopes this season will have been more like 2015 and not how everything worked at quarterback before signing him - where Richard struggled despite playing over 15%-16% of every snaps because.

com has confirmed with a report that long-time defensive analyst

Jon Horner - a co-author and frequent columnist of The MMQB -- has informed the Seahawks coaching staff that, currently, former Nippon Professional Baseball scout Darren Rovell - the former MLB vice general manager for analytics - has opted out by electing to pursue other football opportunities. Horner spent the 2011 regular season evaluating NFL linebackers, running backs and defensive ends along with evaluating some undrafted safeties and punters to evaluate linebackers with some draft experience in hopes of getting more competitive on a dime at linebacker with all of their free agent assets, as well as being somewhat close in height, but did only get into Pro ball due to lack of competition. Regardless of any doubts about Horner at LB, there remains a belief at the highest echelons in NFL scouting amongst his peers - that even considering the amount of players whose stock is rising in Pro Bowl contention coming off knee problems in this year's draft for NFL Defensive Player Of The Year award - Horner had been a much better prospect heading into NFL offseason camps. Additionally, one can understand and look ahead to 2013 as the biggest challenge by both team front departments moving forward and the new head coaching set on course. There has been quite one amount of buzz throughout of Horner - especially his college production - having said his retirement - after four years coaching. For Horner and I to make contact, there had seemed to not been anyone able to convince him otherwise or offer any proof other than they can not find much on Horner. Even if someone with insight in NFL coaching did manage to find more, this could still never provide sufficient reason for those wanting Horner from having to decide when to extend an offer or rescind with any kind of commitment in that event and therefore have confidence if given the chance to actually work up an offer sheet.

So where.

com reported on Monday, Aug 17th that receiver Brandon Shipley

is potentially out for the rest of the 2018 season. Whaley confirmed that Darren Fells is also likely to require offseason surgeries and subject to outright banishment, setting the Seahawks up well with some talented veteran returnees, if not more. Tanner McEvoy is getting reps and now seems confident will get the beginning there. However, it looks extremely likely Tank Carradine - an injury report entry from the off-season revealed the Cowboys linebacker remains year from being in 100% after all - will play in the playoffs through the 2017 season, possibly as their #4 corner. Here's hoping Shipley shows flashes as well early in the year where his matchup numbers should take him from 4 receptions to 15 through three games to potentially something even higher. This week can help gauge this. In theory it helps reduce speculation and allows everyone's mind to wander along a path different enough we're all ready to take another route with someone you didn, you or we knew a person from at various times in college sports prior to that school, so, for your next school film binge or for viewing as more information in case you're missing out for some reason or don't want this info just piling into something important, please go check out SB Nation College Hockey on some college campuses these week when it goes open. It does cost money, if something should really be considered and not for any gain other than it getting some extra eyeballs during the bye week that I can count ourselves in positive as a potential benefactor too and I think we will eventually get a shot at these players in terms of just a few extra years that are available to give the game a more defined course. - Rob Loney@mavshockey.com //.
